On September 27th Doylesroom.com is hosting a tourney with a prizepool of 250k. There are 10 bounties at $1000 each and for anyone who has not yet played on Doylesroom.com I can tell you depositing couldn’t be easier. I made a credit card deposit and within minutes I was in the action. I also talked to their customer support and they even have a “live chat” support function that really helped me with recovering my lost password and learning about the site itself. As for the play, it is very soft. Most smaller sites are incredibly soft and this site is no different. Expect this tourney to have a huge overlay so if you have nothing to do on September 27th make it a point to check out this tournament. There is a link in the forum section so if you have yet to sign up for Doylesroom.com take a second and do so, this tourney is too great to miss.
They’ve got a 110% first deposit bonus too:

It seems like every Sunday I find myself in the same exact situation. Analyzing my game, my life, wondering if this is what I want to do and what else I can do to help better myself (volunteer, give back, etc.). I always have some sort of resolution I follow for three or so days and then return to my old ways. My attitude is destroyed. I have such a negative attitude towards poker lately and I think it has really effected my results. I barely made any money in August and I attribute it to running bad, playing bad, and just being negative about life in general.
I made a post on FullContactPoker about a possible prop bet of me making 30 final tables in 30 days. I wanted something to get my confidence high again. I like to make goals every month. My goals for August were to make 20k (didn’t even come close) and lose 7 lbs (I’m exactly the same). I think my goals for September will be to just play solid poker day in and day out, Just really want to play my A game and have a reason for everything I do.
I would also like to read another book. I purchased a book called the “Innocent Man” by John Grisham on my way to Chicago. I am 30 pages from the end and I really like the mindset that reading puts me in. I can’t believe I despised reading when I was younger. Anyone have any good book recommendations?
My next post will include the ItwasSuited bounty tourney that we will be having on Pokerstars. I’m thinking probably a Wednesday or Thursday night. I would like to make it a monthly thing and eventually have leader boards and things like that. Congrats to Spadeskillz for winning the ItwasSuited.com Profit leader board for the month. He had probably his best month of his career and is proving to be an elite player. Best of luck at the tables.

I’m sitting in the O’hare airport waiting for my flight back to LV and I’ve already had quite the day. I woke up this morning, checked my bank account and found a rather large withdrawal from my air card. I spent an hour on the phone with the company only to discover that I apparently went way over my usage for the month. Not only that but apparently my next phone bill is going to cost me 800 dollars and I couldn’t be more pissed. I’ve had nothing but problems with the card (this is my 3rd one) constant connection problems and it really pisses me off. To top it all off I haven’t even been able to connect to internet for the last 1.5 weeks yet I somehow slammed my max usage by 3 gigabites? Hopefully I’ll get my money back somehow.
Anyways, I accidentally sent a wrong stars screen name three transfers for a decent amount of money. I finally figured it out the intended recipient wasn’t getting the money instead, some random person who has the same screen name as one of my horses on a different site was making bank. I emailed stars support and since the payer hadn’t logged on in a long time they were able to re-transfer the money to back my account. I love Pokerstars. They are the only site that continually steps up to the plate and hits home runs, except for the tourney payouts but hopefully that will step up too.
Anyways I’m just gonna relax tonight and put in a really long session tomorrow probably playing 12+ tables at a time for most of the day. I didn’t make my August profit goal (yet) but a couple tourney wins will lock that up. My September goals are even higher and I’m really excited to get my ROI back up where it should be. The inaugural Itwassuited.com open will be posted in a few days. I’m excited to have a private tourney with a bunch of people that we all know. It should make for good times. There will be a bounty on bustouts for IcallSeat3′ and myself for an undetermined amount. Anyways, it should be a good time. More info will come on that when the time is right. That’s all for now, best of luck at the tables!
5 hours later of delayage and I finally board the plane.. F ohare.

Well, as many of you know, Sundays are normally brutal for most MTT grinders. For some reason I couldn’t sleep last night because I kept thinking about the Sunday tourneys. I woke up with a winner’s mentality, ready to win; only one problem, I didn’t. You can honestly play your best poker ever and still lose thousands of dollars in a day. It’s heartbreaking because the highs can be so high, but the lows can be brutally low. I’ll be taking off of poker a week which is the longest break thus far in my career. It will be nice to do things that have nothing to do with poker.
Spadeskillz once again went deep where he took 3rd in a 6 max tourney for 3k and change. I ended up finishing 15th in the same tourney. It would have been pretty awesome to be at a final table with my roomie but it just didn’t happen. BigChipsHi also went deep in the 80k 55 tourney. First paid 21k but he busted out in 8th for 2500 or so. Last but not least, Lag-tard Vtlaxer went deep in the FTOPS Main but busted with AJdd vs 66 on an 8d4d2h board for a top 20 stack; so disappointing. It’s just a matter of time before these guys pop off a huge score.
There are two spots remaining for fantasy football league that ItwasSuited is running so get in it while you still can. The draft is Aug 30th. We plan on running an ItwasSuited open type tourney. We will have a few bounties on a few of my horsies and I. We are aiming for the first week of September and plan to make it monthly but, if we get more traffic, we could make it a weekly thing. A definitive date will be posted in the forums when the date and time are finalized.
I plan on writing a blog or two a week about strategy to succeed at poker from a mental standpoint. During downswings you have a lot of time for reflections and I think writing a few blog posts on mental strategy will help my game as well. Best of luck at the tables.

Just finished my first personal trainer session at the local gym here in Las Vegas. It was intense to say the least. I’m sure in a few days I’m going to be sore in spots I didn’t know existed. Currently my weight is 207 which it has been at for about 6 months. I’ve already come a long way considering a year and a half ago I was around 240. I think having a trainer there to push me will help me in the long run to stay healthy. On the poker front, I have been taking days off like they are going out of style. I am going to Chicago to visit my lover for a week so it’ll be good to get away from the game and just relax. Other than traveling, I got a staking offer for the 2500 FTOPS which I may accept, if not, I’ll definitely play the full load on Sunday and try to make some money.
Congrats to Spadeskillz, Icallseat3, Striker1114 and BigHuni for having huge weeks on the virtual felt. Spadeskillz has improved so much over the last few months that I think it will help my game as well. If you haven’t checked out Scott (IcallSeat3) Sitron’s blog you can find it here. He is the only player I know that I will willingly admit is better then me. Best of luck at the tables!
